Justin and Veda | Delafield Engagement Session

From the moment Veda’s name popped into my inbox and I opened her email, I felt an instant connection with her kindness and energy. When Veda contacted me, she and Justin weren’t even engaged yet, but they knew that they wanted me to photograph their wedding– and that’s when my heart melted into a giant puddle. Honored beyond belief, smiling from ear to ear, I was floored. Because six years ago, when this whole photography thing, was just a distant dream, I never pictured people contacting me ahead of time just to make sure I had their date available.

Veda is the type of person that encourages others, sees the best in people, and gosh, she’s always on the lookout for ways that she can help. She’s like sunshine. Justin is the type of person that’s on the lookout on how he can protect, uplift, and help other’s realize their potential. Their type of relationship is dynamic. They kind of make you feel like you could take on the world.

Justin and Veda met when they were both in the Air National Guard, which kind of explains their personalities. Service is all about helping communities, reaching new limits, having a heart for others, and becoming stronger individually and together. They do all of those things in increasing measure. They both have an innate ability to tap into their skills and talents, and they leave a little bit of their love for Jesus wherever they go. It’s nothing short of beautiful.
