Milford Hills: Charlie and Rhea’s Beautiful Wedding in Johnson Creek

Charlie and Rhea’s wedding at Milford Hills was a perfect blend of natural beauty and thoughtful details. With clear skies and warm weather, the venue provided an ideal backdrop for their celebration. The day was filled with meaningful moments, from their outdoor ceremony to the lively reception surrounded by family and friends.

In this post, I’ll be sharing some favorite images from their wedding, along with a Q&A where Charlie and Rhea reflect on their day!

Enjoy your scroll :)

Can you share the details of your proposal story—who was involved, what happened, where it took place, and when it all unfolded?

Charlie and Rhea got engaged while on a cruise to the Bahamas. Rhea had expected it to happen at some point during the cruise, thinking it would be at the steak dinner we had planned for that night. Charlie surprised her and proposed in their room one morning - just the two of them.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle and finally getting the ceremony started. There was so much waiting and anticipation that day, it felt so good to finally see each other and get married.

Can you share a memorable or funny story from your wedding day?

We took a hayride around the grounds for family photos following the ceremony. The tractor was new and a little touchier than the driver was used to, so there were some rough starts and stops, but everyone still had fun.

How did your family and friends contribute to making your wedding day special?

It was an amazing feeling seeing our family and friends who had never met before get along so well and dance all night. Our families were also extremely supportive helping us get everything setup and cleaned up.

How did you feel when you first saw your wedding photos?

It was the best feeling reliving the day and seeing the things we missed the day of. They exceeded our expectations.

How did your wedding photography experience make you feel, and what stood out to you about the process?

We did our engagement session with Carley. It was a good practice run for our wedding day. Having worked with her before, everything was so easy the day of the wedding. I typically get stressed about having my picture taken, but I was able to relax since we had been through it before. (It was easy and comfortable for the engagement session too).

How did you feel about being photographed on your wedding day?

We have never been big fans of having our pictures taken, but Carley made everything so comfortable. Some of the poses feel a little funny, but we trusted the process and everything came out perfect.

Do you have any shoutouts or thank yous for family, friends, or vendors?

I am a big planner, and all three of our major vendors - Milford Hills, DJ Jeff with A Personal Touch, and Carley answered all my questions and worked with us to plan the day out beforehand. They all know their stuff. Everything went smoothly, and I was not stressed at all the day of the wedding.
