Dietz Family | Waukesha Family Photographer

Most of my sessions this year have been cloudy or rainy (or cloudy AND rainy). Which makes me slightly sad because if you know me, you know that I love sunshine and color. Thankfully, when I met the Dietz family at frame park in Waukesha, it was one of those rare Saturday afternoons where the sun was shining the trees were a vibrant mix of orange and yellow. I was so excited to photograph the Dietz Family because although I primarily photograph high school seniors and weddings, I’ve been leaning more and more towards family photography over the years. I love childhood, connection, and imagination—having these sweet sisters and their mom and dad in front of my camera was one of my favorite things.

I had an absolute blast snapping photos and throwing leaves at Frame Park, and it kind of makes me wonder why I’m not simply writing children’s books and spending my days creating chalk art with the neighborhood kids. One day :)
