ChiChi & Lihong | Downtown Madison Wedding
ChiChi and Lihong got married on July 30th at Madison Chinese Christian Church, it was so special because that's where they first met.
What stood out to me the most about their wedding day was how ChiChi and Lihong had surrounded themselves with some of the kindest and sweetest people you will ever meet, guests came up to me and thanked me for being there and taking photos, and that's something I've never experienced before. Everyone was so kind and they made my first experience of photographing a wedding (all by myself) extra special. Although most of their wedding was in Chinese, and half the time I had no idea what was being said, the love and community that surrounded them spoke volumes.
ChiChi had her stunning wedding dress custom made in China and her parents (who live there) picked it up and brought it with them to Wisconsin. So many people came together to decorate, lend their musical and culinary talents to make their day memorable.
ChiChi & Lihong,
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your special day! I loved every single minute of it and am so grateful to the both of you for being adventurous and braving the mosquito infested woods, climbing to the rooftop and for giving me an opportunity to do what I love. All the best to you as you continue on this journey together!
Love, Carley
I was so excited to photograph ChiChi & Lihong at the UW Arboretum in Madison, I had never been there before, but now I definitely want to go back.
These pictures taken on the rooftop of the Monona Terrace are some of my favorites :)
P.s Not sure if she'll see this or not, but I couldn't end this blog post with out saying thank you to Esther for being an excellent dress fluffer, reflector holder, hair adjuster and all around fantastic person. So grateful for all your help! You're amazing!
