Backyards & Backgrounds
Wisconsin seems unfortunately green lately. Green EVERYWHERE - it's like a chlorophyll explosion. Green is third on my list of favorite colors, but it's my least favorite color to photograph. It tends to result in horrible color casts that ruin skin tones whenever you photograph near it.
Green leaves (see what I did there) me rather uninspired, it's just borrrrring. So today I decided to do something about it.
It's not uncommon to see me walking around my backyard with a camera looking for things to take pictures of (the neighbors probably think I'm weird).
When I noticed this "palm tree" on the patio I decided to create a tropical like scene and took this photo.
That aqua color isn't typically found in good 'ole Wisco, so I had my handy dandy assistant hold this cushion behind the plant. I also got the leaves wet with a spray bottle to add some texture and interest to the photograph.
It's not extraordinary or amazing, it's just fun and makes me happy.
If you're feeling rather uninspired, give it a go sometime!
