I stepped out of the car and into the parking lot of Faith Bible Church. Sunshine surrounded me. Lots of sunshine. The kind that makes you squint your eye and thank God for making such a beautiful world. It only seemed fitting that Justin and Veda had a day that sparkled and glimmered with light, because they have personalities that sparkle and glimmer with light.

Justin and Veda met when they were both in the Air National Guard. Go ask them about their story and be prepared to melt a little bit. They’re both dedicated to service, standing up for the voiceless, bringing light into dark places, and showing the world what love and commitment looks like. Their wedding day was a testament to this. I don’t know all of the ins and outs of Justin and Veda’s relationship, but I can tell you this: They’re happier when they’re together. They encourage one another to be stronger, braver, and bolder. They help each other through the rough times, and celebrate with one another during the happy times. They’ve cried together, prayed together, and grown together. They’ve made each other better.

From emotional toasts to the bride and groom at the Ingleside Hotel, to sentimental details, like the gift that Veda gave to her dad, all the way up to a glittering sparkler exit, I think it’s safe today, that Justin and Veda had a day filled with love and light.
