Sometimes the people I’m photographing are so extraordinarily cute I can’t even look at their photos because it’s like a sweetness overload. That’s what happens when I photograph Lindsay and Thomas. I photographed their dreamy wedding back in 2016 and it was stunning, and beautiful, and all of the positive adjectives in the English language. So when their two-year anniversary rolled around and Lindsay contacted me to capture this sweet session, I was like, “SIGN ME UP!”. Anniversary photos aren’t something I typically break out my camera for, but any excuse to hang out with these two is fine by me. Plus, I’m not usually the first to know anything, so the surprise announcement in this blog post melts my heart <3.
These are just a FEW of my favorites. Enjoy!
Most of my sessions this year have been cloudy or rainy (or cloudy AND rainy). Which makes me slightly sad because if you know me, you know that I love sunshine and color. Thankfully, when I met the Dietz family at frame park in Waukesha, it was one of those rare Saturday afternoons where the sun was shining the trees were a vibrant mix of orange and yellow. I was so excited to photograph the Dietz Family because although I primarily photograph high school seniors and weddings, I’ve been leaning more and more towards family photography over the years. I love childhood, connection, and imagination—having these sweet sisters and their mom and dad in front of my camera was one of my favorite things.

We met up at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha to snap some quick senior photos, just in time for her school’s yearbook deadline! Danielle was very easygoing and was up for anything! It was a chilly day and there wasn’t much sunshine (bummer!) but nevertheless, we made the most of the dreary November atmosphere and had a lovely time chatting and taking photos!
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from her session!

It was a stereotypical Autumn day complete with cloudy weather, a crisp fall breeze, and vibrant shades of orange and red.
One of the things I like most about photography is meeting new people and hearing their stories! Kathy and I instantly hit it off and had a wonderful time chatting it up while snapping photos last week Friday! Kathy and I were basically wearing the same outfit when we met (which was so serendipitous), and we both have a quirky obsession with shopping at Goodwill, hiking, art, Anthropology, and the west coast (mountains & saltwater, anyone?).
